Nicky specialises in travel and natural history photography and writing, and brings a unique perspective to her recently developed fashion portfolio.
Her background in conservation and ecological research and her passion for discovering and capturing the essence of remote communities and ecosystems are reflected in her photography.
Nicky's written and photographic work have been published in photographic, travel and natural history magazines including BBC Wildlife, Africa Geographic and Outdoor Photography. Nicky's images have also been used for a variety of conservation and scientific publications and events.
Her photography has won awards and recognition in competitions run by Travel Photographer of the Year (2005) - subsequently appearing in the two hardback publications Journey One and Journey Two (www.tpoty.com) - the Société Jersiaise (2006) and the British Ecological Society (2007). Most recently her work has been selected for inclusion in the 152nd Royal Photographic Society International Print Exhibition in London.
This website showcases a collection of images from around the world - from the remote desert coast of Namibia, where Nicky spent 18 months studying for her PhD, to the dramatic and diverse landscapes of Central America and the hill communities of northern India.
